Schwinn Airdyne Exercise Bikes

Most of my friends either own or use a Recumbent bike, but my choice for a good workout on Exercise bikes is the Schwinn Airdyne Upright.  With the handle bars and grips, my arms, chest and shoulders along with my lower body because of the patented dual action motion that synchronizes arm and leg motions which simulates your natural motion, allows you to have a total body workout. The harder you pedal the more the wind resistance becomes and at the same time the fan wheel cools you off during your workout.

It doesn’t matter what the weather is, or what time it is, once you are exercising you can keep track of your calories, calories per hour, time, distance, RPM and workload on the easy to read LED console. Listen to your favorite music on your Ipod or catch up on your TV shows in the convenience of your own home. This particular model has a 300 lb weight capacity and I weigh 240 lbs and have felt very secure on it. It is more of an old fashion style bike, but over the years I still consistently use it and that tells me that the Schwinn Airdyne Exercise Bikes hold up through the test of time.

Exercise Bikes

When choosing one of the many Exercise Bikes on the market there are many factors to consider. There are such a wide range in price along with many options to choose from that it is wise to take your time and see what appeals to you along with what you can afford. There are mainly 2 types; the recumbent, which you can lean back in the seat and have your legs out in front of you as you pedal and the upright, which is taller in stature with your legs below you as you pedal.

The upright tends to give you a better workout in your legs where as the recumbent gives you more support for your back. Which ever one you choose you’ll be getting a low impact workout which is very easy on your joints. The key to success is to enjoy what you are doing while you are exercising, pick out some of your favorite music or even watch your favorite T.V. show to make your experience more pleasurable.
