Bowflex PR3000 Home Gym

Weight training is considered organized exercise in which muscles of the body are made to contract in response to external weights, body exercise or resistance, or other devices in order to stimulate growth and strength. Weight training has important benefits beyond building big muscles. It can tone and shape the body for weight loss, personal appearance and it can improve sporting performance by increasing bulk, strength, power, and endurance in sports. It will build strength and improve balance and functionality, especially as we age.

Even though you have set up a demanding schedule for working out on a Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer which works your upper and lower body, you still want to do a little more. A good idea is to keep a spare pair of running shoes in the car for walking on your lunch break or when you have extra time between appointments. Between exercising regularly, watching your diet, and just being active in your every day activities, you will live a much happier and healthier life. For under $600.00 you can own a well constructed Schwinn elliptical machine that will give you many great workouts in the privacy of your own home. Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

When you are working out on an award winning Bowlex Series 7 Treadmill you might to try Fartiek Training. Fartiek is a Swedish term that means”speed play” and is a form of interval or speed training that can be effective in improving your speed and endurance. Fartiek running involves varying your pace throughout your run, alternating between fast segments and slow jogs. Unlike traditional interval training that involves specific timed or measured segments, fartieks are more unstructured.

When you do a fartiek workout, try introducing some short periods of a slightly higher pace into your normal runs. Maintain the faster pace for a short distance of time intervals, such as 200m, or 30 seconds. Once you complete a fast segment, slow your pace to below your normal running pace, until you have fully recovered and your breathing has returned to normal. Then return to running at your normal pace, and incorporate more slightly fast intervals later in the run. Fartiek training puts a little extra stress on your system, eventually leading to faster speeds and improving your anaerobic threshold.

Bowflex-dumbbells

When you are new to weight training the first question that you would ask is: “How much weight should I start with?” A simple way for beginners to decide how much weight to lift and when to progress to heavier weights is to start with a program of 10 exercises and 3 sets of 10 repetitions of each exercise. To begin with, choose a weight that the 10th lift, push or pull of the 1st set is somewhat difficult, but not too difficult to complete. Between sets, make sure you rest 30-60 seconds, which will give you ample time to catch your breath and continue your workout. By the 10th lift of your 3rd set, you should be struggling to complete the lift, but being able to do it by making hard work of it.

When you find you can do the last lift, (30th lift), with less effort, it’s time to increase the weight. When adding your next increment puts you in between a suitable weight, you can either drop the reps to 8-9; or stay with the same weight and increase the number of reps in each set to 12-15. I have found that working out with the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells (2009 Model) is perfect, because with its unique dial system I can go from 5 lbs to 52.5 lbs in 2.5 lb increments and this pair of dumbbells takes the place of 15 pairs of dumbbells without taking up all kinds of space.

Bowflex’s Treadclimber TC5000

Choosing between 12 different resistance levels on the Bowflex TC5000 Treadclimber allows me to truly get a great cardio and lower body workout that even the most serious athlete would find challenging. The TC 5000 is a low impact machine engineered to burn fat without pounding your joints, and currently Amazon is offering a $100.00 savings on this machine. After a workout that has not left you with much time, those familiar words come to mind, “Fast Food”, but when trying to lose weight , not all fast food is created equal.

Many fast food restaurants now serve low calorie fruit or vegetable salads. Drink water with your meal instead of carbonated, high sugar drinks. Have a grilled chicken breast sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes and mustard instead of mayonnaise. Have a chicken taco with salsa instead of cheese and have your sandwiches on whole grain rolls whenever possible. No matter where you eat, always make healthy choices.

Schwinn 460 Variable Stride Elliptical Trainer

While working out on the Schwinn 460 Variable Stride Elliptical Trainer, which has that great feature of being able to change your stride lengths from 2″-26″ without any manual adjustments, the thought of what and how much too eat during the holidays came up. First of all don’t skip meals, just eat sensibly, such as a bowl of whole grain cereal to kick the day off. It is also a good idea to eat high-fiber foods before a party, because fiber helps you feel full, and if you aren’t feeling hungry you probably won’t eat as much.

Treat yourself to that piece of pie, or that holiday cookie, but instead of having a huge piece of pie or multiple cookies limit yourself to a smaller portion. Probably the best idea is, don’t hang around the buffet table with all the tempting and delicious food, because you know what they say “out of sight, out of mind”. Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated and drink alcohol sensibly, because there are plenty of calories in cocktails.

Sole E95 Ellliptical Trainer (2009 Model)

When trying to reshape your body after pregnancy it is a good idea to have an overall exercise program along with a specific exercise for one area. When exercising on the Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer (2009 Model), the great thing about this machine is that you can give yourself a total upper and lower body workout. When you want to get specific and do an exercise that particularly pertains to postpartum abdominal reconditioning, it is helpful to have a basic understanding of the structure and function of your abdominal wall. The deepest layer of the abdominal wall, and the most important in postpartum exercise, is the Transverse Abdominis. It’s fibers run across the abdomen and preforms abdominal compression , which draws the belly inward, and narrows the waist.

A critical component for restoring your abs and the development of core strength is learning to control the shape of your abdominal wall during exercise. Here is an exercise that will help strengthen your Transverse Abdominis: First, stand up tall, then think about drawing your belly button towards your spine, while making sure you are not sucking in your breath, you are using your abs to do this. Once your belly button is drawn in , it automatically activates your Transverse Abdominis muscle. Try to keep your belly button in as you breathe normally. Practice a few times until it becomes comfortable. do this whenever you are exercising and you will be working your Transverse Abdominis and strengthening yourself from the inside out for a flatter tummy faster!

Aerobic Training Machines

Normally when working out on any Aerobic Training Machines I like to take advantage of all the benefits of stretching after my muscles have warmed up. There are however, conditions in which stretching should be avoided, as with acute muscle strains. People who have suffered an acute muscle strain should avoid placing further stress on the muscle through stretching activities, because the injured muscle should be given time to recover.

If you have broken a bone, the fracture needs time to heal and by stretching the muscles that surround the injured area can place stress on the bone and prevent it from healing as well as further displace the break. Also when you sprain your joint, you overstretch the ligaments that help stabilize the bones that form the joint. Stretching early after a joint sprain should be avoided, as with fractures, these structures need time to heal and stretching too early in the injury will delay this process. Remember there are many benefits to stretching, but make sure you are helping yourself and not doing damage to yourself instead.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

During the holidays try and set up a schedule of your workouts on days you know you will be available. Shopping, parties , out of town guests and other holiday related duties can make it harder but not impossible to exercise. If running is your main workout, don’t let weather or having trouble getting to the gym be your deterrent, because owning a Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill is a very affordable and it is highly rated in its price range.

A great advantage of owning your own treadmill is the flexibility of your workouts, because if it’s a busy night, workout in the morning and if it’s to hectic morning, get your workout in after work. Also be flexible in the duration of your workouts, some days you might have to cut your workout a little short, and on the days you have some more time, add a few minutes without easing up on your intensity. If you miss a workout, don’t sweat it because the most important thing is, you are trying your best and some things during the holidays are out of your control. Keep up the good work and “Happy Holidays”.
