The Life Fitness R9i Exercise Bike is a top of the line piece of equipment with a lot of history that has proceeded it. Dr. Keene Dimick, Ph.D, a chemist and inventor in 1968 develops the Lifecycle exercise bike, which was the first computerized fitness equipment.
Two young entrepreneurs, Ray Wilson and Augie Nietro saw the promise of Dr. Dimick’s invention and bought the rights to the Lifecycle and turned a two man operation into a company that employs over 1,700 people with 186 dealers and distributors in more than 120 countries. The R9i is a home version of the very popular Life Fitness health club machine and is one of more than 300 different cardio and strength training products that Life Fitness offers.
