A super set is described as doing two dumbbell exercises back to back. Instead of doing one set, resting and then doing another set of the same exercise, you’ll change exercises. You have a choice of resting between exercises, or do one exercise immediately after the other and then resting between super sets. The advantage of super sets is that it allows you to do a great deal of work in a short period of time without sacrificing your performance.
To take advantage of super sets, you can pick two non- competing exercises for each super set, so the muscles used for the first exercise rest while you perform the second exercise. Exercises like presses, rows, squats and dead lifts in super sets not only give you muscle, but the fast pace improves cardiorespiratory endurance and burns fat as well. Xvest TurboBells Adjustable Dumbbells are a perfect choice to use as you increase your workout load, because they range in weight from 5-60 lbs and take the place of 26 separate dumbbells.
